The Red Carpet Inn is an interior corridor hotel built in 1998 and remodeled in 2002. The hotel features king size bedded and queen size bedded mini suites meeting facilities and offers a complimentary continental breakfast. There is easy in and out access has ample parking and features a 30-space RV park adjacent to its location. Located in Walnut Iowa known as the Antique Capitol. Walnut Iowa and the Red Carpet Inn is located one mile south of I-80 right at exit 46. It is less than an hour east of Omaha Nebraska and is only 85 miles from Des Moines. Walnut is recognized both nationally and internationally as a top tourist attraction for the state of Iowa. Motor coach traffic and tours stopping in Walnut have increased significantly each year. Walnut provides a welcome center as a place for visitors and tourists to relax between shopping and sight seeing. Walnut is located close to several other top ranked tourists attractions. The area attracts over 10 000 000 visitors annually within a 50-mile radius. Walnut features the Amvets Antique Show and Walk Antique Car Show and Antique Christmas Walk.
