Abby loves her first trip to Texas shore
Pier 99 RestaurantThey have a menu for dogs and we ordered her the beef, egg, and carrot combo. she really liked it. View of the ship was nice. I enjoyed my grouper
Easy access from highway
La Quinta by Wyndham Marble FallsLovely view of Lake LBJ. Have stayed here before without a pet- knew there were plenty of nice eateries nearby. Plenty of space for large breed dog crate in king size room.
Road trip lunch
The Purple GoatWe used the app to find this gem in Stephenville TX for lunch. Our puppy was greeted with enthusiasm and given a Texas size water bowl. The outdoor dining area is completely covered, has air blowers, concrete floor (cooler), and a Big A** brand fan in use. The three of us were comfortable despite it being 101F today. They have a great dog menu and I’ve attached a photo of Abby’s chicken breast. My husband ate one of their specialty hamburgers with a portobello mushroom and Gouda on top. I had the signature salad with fried chicken tenders, goat cheese, walnuts and raspberry vinaigrette. The iced tea was fresh- they do have an extensive bar. Staff was cheerful. Really cute t shirts
Grumbles Seafood Port Aransas
Lazy Dog Restaurant & BarStaff was happy to help and provided water for our dog and a cookie. Neither of us really enjoyed our dinners. View was nice. Lots of concrete in parking area- no grass or vegetation near parking lot for puppy potty break.
Lunch stop
Landry's Seafood House on the RiverwalkThe outdoor patio for this restaurant on the Riverwalk is just off the stairs from the San Antonio city streets. There is a bridge above providing plenty of coverage for our giant breed puppy despite the July heat. There’s a public parking garage nearby.
Our waiter was attentive, pleasant and gave great food recommendations. I enjoyed the seafood Cobb salad and my husband thought the mahi mahi was exceptional.
