Pet Friendly Riverstone Park
Riverstone Park Fido is welcome to join you at Riverstone Park in Coeur d'Alene, ID. There is a small dog park, as well as dog-friendly water access for swimming. Sunset Park Sunset Park in Boise, ID, occupies 10 acres, of which 4.3 acres are available for off-leash use during designated hours. The pet-friendly, approved area is the open field on the west end of the park defined by the tennis courts and sidewalk to the west, the sidewalk on the south, and the property lines on the west and north end of the park. There are signs with maps identifying the approved area installed at the park for user reference. Dogs must be on a leash at all other times during the day. Please clean up after your pets. Moose Lake Loop Moose Lake Loop is a 7-mile hike in Idaho Panhandle National Forest that will take about 4 hours to complete with Fido. As you hike you will come to a pleasant alpine lake where you can take a swim and enjoy the sun. Continue on to a quiet summit where you can take in the panoramic views. Weiser River National Recreation Trail The Weiser River National Recreation Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Council! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Weiser River National Recreation Trail. The Ashton to Tetonia Trail Dogs are welcome on the Ashton to Tetonia Trail in Ashton, ID. This pet-friendly trail stretches for nearly 30 miles through the classic countryside of Idaho. The trail itself follows the route of a once important railroad, the Oregon Short Line, that used to connect isolated communities and transport livestock. Nowadays, it's frequented by bikers and hikers who are looking to explore the farmland in this pretty rural area. The park features two separate play areas, one for large, active and energetic dogs and another for smaller or leisurely dogs. Amenities include two water fountains, benches and a shade pergola.
