Paul Douglas Preserve
Paul Douglas Preserve In Hoffman Estates, IL, is dog friendly. Home to grasslands, wetlands and a heron rookery that attract a variety of nesting birds, outbound hounds will be pleased to know that birders aren’t the only ones who will have a great time here. Leashed dogs are invited to join their trail running owners for canicross on single track trails that wind through the protected landscape or on paved trails in the preserve for a nice walk at a slower pace. The park boasts more than 21 miles of paved and unpaved trails. For safety reasons, runners and riders go in opposite directions on alternate days.

Melas Park is a dog-friendly community park in Mount Prospect, IL. Bring Fido along and enjoy the 35 acres of green space, 1.3-mile perimeter path, shelters and picnic tables. The park also includes concessions, football fields, soccer fields, and the Visual Art Center, offering a day of fun for the whole family. Your dog must remain leashed at all times except in the on-site dog park, Canine Commons Dog Park.
