All-inclusive resorts and hotels are perfect for travelers who don’t want to worry about the added expenses of à la carte dining and activity charges. Whether you’re booking a family vacation, solo retreat or romantic getaway, these hassle-free escapes are ideal for travelers on any size budget. Here are six dog-friendly all-inclusive resorts and hotels, ranging from upscale to affordable, that allow Fido to put away his wallet, too.

Snowbirds flock to The Sunshine State when temperatures drop elsewhere, and there’s no better way to enjoy the abundant sun, sea and sand than with an all-inclusive stay at TradeWinds Island Grand. Guests with pets can choose between 48 villas and suites at this popular resort, but the fun doesn’t stop in the spacious rooms. Pups can play off-leash in the on-site Pet Play Zone complete with a drinking fountain, fire hydrants, photo op display, grass and shade. Don’t worry if you left Fido’s essentials at home, head to the Doggie Accessory Center to pick up bowls, leashes, toys and towels to use during his stay.

During the day, lounge with your Labrador in the hammock on the pet-friendly beach or take a walk along the winding paved trails. After a day of play, don’t forget to rinse your pup’s paws at the dog wash station. Be sure to select a value-packed room package that provides activities, food and beverage vouchers.

TradeWinds Island Grand welcomes two pets up to 80 lbs for an additional fee of $30 per night.

Blackberry Farm

Fido-loving foodies need to add Blackberry Farm to their bucket lists. This 4,200-acre culinary estate just outside of Great Smoky Mountains National Park is famous for its James Beard Award-winning restaurant, heirloom garden, brewery and scenic location. Your canine companion will be welcomed with house-made dog biscuits, ceramic food and water bowls, special towels for muddy paws, and balls for a game of fetch, all waiting for him in the room. Crates and dog beds are also available by request.

Days start with a hearty breakfast of biscuits and gravy and farm-fresh eggs. After, you and your pup can stroll the estate grounds, but if you’d like to teach your dog a few new tricks, call the front desk to book an appointment with Jim Sanford. The resident truffle dog trainer can share his dog-training tips, help solve common canine behavior problems and introduce you to Blackberry Farm’s Lagotto Romagnolo truffle dogs. Fido can also participate in self-guided hikes, geocaching, garden tours, and paddle sports (don’t forget to bring a dog life jacket!). Request boxed lunches and find an idyllic spot to picnic with your pup. At the end of the day, enjoy a gourmet Appalachian farm-to-table dinner at an outdoor table with sunset views and your best friend by your side.

Blackberry Farm accepts dogs for an additional $250 fee per stay. Alcohol isn’t included in the price tag, but lodging, three meals daily and some activities are.

The Resort at Paws Up

Escape the bustle of everyday life at The Resort at Paws Up. This all-inclusive, luxurious Montana ranch provides first-class service and dog-friendly accommodations ranging from impressive cabins to sprawling lodges. Enjoy unplugging in a rustic forest setting that overlooks picturesque creeks, mountains and meadows. Fido won’t feel as though he’s “ruffing” it at this dude ranch, either! Furry guests are greeted with a welcome note from the owners’ dog, Coco, and provided with a plush dog bed and food bowls. Treats, a tennis ball, and a hiking trail map round out the amenities for your tail-wagger.

Spend hours hiking or skijoring in Big Sky Country with your leashed canine companion on the resort’s miles of dog-friendly trails (he can also join you on guided hikes). These very trails host the annual Canine Classic, a marathon for two- and four-legged participants benefitting the Humane Society of Western Montana. Accept the challenge of a 2-mile walk, a 5-mile run or a half-marathon, followed by a pup-friendly barbecue meal with live music. The night prior to the marathon, dogs and their owners can buy tickets to the Wine & Bitch Dinner, an event where pups play in an indoor arena while their parents feast on gourmet cuisine. You’ll need to book early if you want to stay during this “pupular" event or during the holiday season, but the resort is a great spot to vacation with Fido any time of the year.

The Resort at Paws Up welcomes dogs for an additional fee of $50 per pet, per night.
