Great, but....
The Cranberry, Ascend Hotel CollectionThere is a lot of grass in back for the dogs to relieve themselves, but it's not lit, so bring a flashlight or use the one on your phone. The sofas in the rooms are way too skinny for normal sized people. Other than that, it's clean and nice.
Always reliable
Residence Inn Lexington South/Hamburg PlaceClean, comfortable, plenty of green space for the dog.
Awesome pub
The Irish RoverOutstanding Irish/British style pub, great food and drink, and no problem bringing my 75 lbs. girl Charlotte. They gave her a bowl of water and were very accomodating.
Clean and new
La Quinta by Wyndham Cleveland TNLa Quinta can be hit and miss, but this is one of the newly built ones and it's very nice.
Ants
Sleep Inn & Suites Kingsport TriCities AirportIt's a budget hotel, the furnishings were decent. Two things....I had signed up for a king suite to give the dog some room, it was one of the rooms that appeared here on Bring Fido as available. They bumped me back down to a regular king room saying that the suites weren't dog approved.
More of an annoyance was the ant issue. The room had tiny ants by the bed side table, so any food or drink left there had to be watched and covered.
I'll try to find another place when in the area.
Worst Experience with La Quinta, EVER
La Quinta by Wyndham Manassas BattlefieldUnfriendly staff, lazy, they left my door unlocked while I was out after the daily cleaning and acted like it was no big deal. My work laptop and personal tablet were left in the open in an unlocked room. The condition of the hotel was very poor as well.
Big Rooms
Best Western Plus Inn at Hunt RidgeNice place, if a little older, but mostly updated. Nice large, clean rooms.
