Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Residence Inn Long Island Islip/Courthouse ComplexOn this particular trip, we did not have our dogs with us. For a pet friendly property, we actually didn't hear or see any evidence of any dogs on the property. The grounds are well maintained and there are great outdoor areas to hang out near the fire or walk with your pup. The common areas and our room were spotless. We booked the 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for our family so we each had our private bathrooms. The couch was a bit hard but we didn't hang out on it very long anyway. The staff was very friendly and we would be happy to recommend the property to future travelers.
Always dog friendly
Grill MarksWe love visiting Grill Marks. They have a covered patio area as well as seating along the sidewalk. If your dog isn't very friendly with other dogs but you are still wanting to eat with them, I would suggest the patio area. This way they aren't distracted by the millions of dogs that are passing by.
Beautiful Property
Biltmore EstateWhat an amazing property to explore. While I do suggest visiting more than 1 day so you can explore inside (without your dog), the grounds are heaven for pets. There are so many places to walk and explore and it's fantastic that your dog can come with you.
Enjoyable Stay for Dog Friendly Bachelorette Party
Aloft New Orleans DowntownWe stayed at the Aloft during my dog-friendly bachelorette party. The hotel was very clean and in a great location. It wasn't too bad of a walk to many of the hot spots. I highly suggest making a reservation at Flamingo A-Go-Go for their brunch. They have outdoor dining that's dog friendly and even have a dog menu.
Standard Facilities
Twin Lakes CampgroundWe found the campground to have clean facilities. Obviously after the day, it can get a little dirty but they do a good job keeping it up.
Great deck!
Skull Creek BoathouseWhat an amazing restaurant. The food was delicious and the view was amazing. Sure there was a wait for our table but for 12 people it wasn't too bad. We loved our visit to Skull Creek!
Stopped in before our tour
Cafe BeignetWe stopped in to get a bite to eat before a tour. They had a cute courtyard where we sat with the dogs but they do allow you to come inside with the dogs to order. They do have slower service when it comes to getting the food out, but we still had a great time.
We loved Lucy's!
Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & RestaurantWe arrived at Lucy's after a torrential downpour as we walked to the restaurant. Not only were dogs allowed inside, but they even brought him towels so we could dry him off. The staff was great and the food was delicious. I had a Shrimp Po-boy. The restaurant does get a bit crowded on NoLa basketball game nights but we still had a great time.
Dog Heaven
Flamingo A-Go-GoWhat an amazing place! We started our morning with endless mimosas and had a wonderful spot in the shade. We were one of 4 or 5 different bachelorette parties going on at the time. We were the only one that was dog-friendly though. The food was delicious. I highly suggest the Eggs Flamingo, Garlic-Parmesan Chicken Bites, and the Smoked Salmon Spread. The dogs loved their meals. Their staff was amazing. We loved meeting Missy and having her tell us about her own pups. Make sure to reserve your table in advance to cut down the wait.
