Disappointed
Motel 6 Rossford OHMy reservation specifically said handicap accessible or if not at least on the first floor due to bad knee. When I checked in I was offered a 2nd floor room and when I said that wouldn't work, it seemed like it was a big deal to give me a first floor room. One of the reasons I booked this motel was because the first floor rooms had doors that lead right outside making it easier for me to get my luggage in and my dog out to go potty. I was informed the exterior doors did not work and I’d need to go out the end of the hallway. While the room surfaces appeared clean, I did as I usually do and checked under and around everything before bringing my dog in and found candy, the cover of a syringe, and dirty socks, all of which would have ended up in my dogs mouth. On a positive note, the hotel was easy to get to (right off I-75) and it did have a wonderfully big field to walk the dog in.

Nice location
Comfort Suites ColumbusWe were at a dog show at the fairgrounds and this hotel was just minutes from the show. The staff were pleasant, the rooms clean, and breakfast was good. The only complaint I had was when I arrived they charged me for $20 pet fee (I couldn’t remember if the charge was per night or per stay) so I didn’t question it. Then upon checkout I saw another $23, and the person at the desk couldn’t tell me what it was for. I called the concierge from BringFido who called the hotel and found out it was for the second night ($20) plus tax. My two main issues with this was there was no consistency and why is there 15% tax on the pet fee? $3 is not a big deal for one night, but for multiple nights it would certainly grow! I have contacted the hotel but have not had a response yet. Like I said, I like consistency!
