you and your dog(s)will be happy here
Lake Oconee BistroWe went here to celebrate Mardi Gras and it did not disappoint. Oysters on the half shell for $1.25 Had the "Lake O Po' Boy" and it, along with the lakeside setting, felt a lot like being on the shore of Lake Lake Pontchartrain.
One big caveat on other reviews: THEY NO LONGER HAVE A MENU FOR DOG ENTREES! In fact, you can't feed your dog food of any kind, from any source (that includes menu items or treats you brought). I looked like it was some change in local or state law.
Need to get a pass in advance to enter.
Raccoon River Dog ParkThe park entrance is locked and you cannot enter without a pass (or passcode). Day passes are available, but you have to get them in advance. Their website does not allow you to generate a pass or passcode online. Bottom line, while traveling, my dog and I show up at the park. She's excited about playing with the other dogs, but we can't ente the park. I spent close to half an hour trying to generate a pass online. I tried using three different browsers on a phone, a tablet and a laptop but was never able to submit the request. The rest of Raccoon River park is nice and a great place to walk, but the dog park was pure frustration.
