Good stay
Motel 6 Flagstaff AZ - West - Woodland VillageNice big room, ground floor as I requested. As a senior citizen, I was pleased with the tools they installed to aid seniors. Plus, for those not fortunate enough to get a ground level room, there is an elevator! Also, there is a nice shopping center across the street, with restaurants. Nice location. I gave it a 4 because there were some places others might complain of, little bit a stains, and a couple cracks in the wood door jams. Otherwise, it is a great overnight stay! Also, nice pool.

Decent stop
Motel 6 Santa FeStaff was excellent, very kind and helpful. Room was okay, but the door didn't shut completely so I came back to a door that wasn't shut or locked! I know I shut the door when I left, but perhaps it didn't shut all the way. I had to force it shut, I later learned. Otherwise, it was okay for an overnight stay.

Nice stay
El Pueblo LodgeThis is a wonderful facility! Our room was huge, clean, well decorated, with front and back patios to enjoy while relaxing. The entire facility was beautifully decorated, imo. The free breakfast is amazing, and pets can sit on the outdoor patio with their families, just not inside. Please leave a tip as the staff is very accommodating and kind. I have nothing negative to say about El Pueblo Lodge and I will be back and have already told my friends about this wonderful lodge. And my pug was treated well by all who met her!

It was okay
Badlands Hotel and CampgroundActually, this is an okay place. I think they're just opening up so not all of their services were available. We were in one of the guests rooms, which was good size, clean, and comfortable. Parking was right outside our room which was nice. However, like I said, the kitchen wasn't open, and the ice wasn't readily available. I think this may have been because they're not fully open. It is in a beautiful area so I'm hopeful it will be successful. The camping/RV area looked pretty full. No real place for pets to "go potty" though.

Great stay
Chalet MotelI loved this place! The style reminded me of Motor Inns on Route 66, which I happen to love. This is really kept up well, the cabins are adorable, and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. I did have a little problem with how some of the things inside worked, like the heater, but other than that, I have no complaints. My dog was treated well and had a really nice back area of grass to sniff and relieve herself, instead of a rocky back lot with stickers. It was a nice grass area. This is also in a good location in Custer and easy to find. I will definitely stop here again if I am back in the area. I was really really pleased.

Super 8 by Wyndham CubaNice clean room, good size, right off the interstate. I especially liked the mural of the St. Louis Arch over the bed. Nice area for pets. Nice staff. Great price.

Decent stay
Best Western Empire TowersApplause to the young man checking in 30 gentlemen in a Biker Club! Nice men, but a large number. I requested a ground floor but was put on the second floor. Fortunately, there was an elevator. The room was average, but we were treated well.

Recommend!
Grant Hills MotelLoved it! We stayed in the back of the motel, with a huge grassy yard, fire pit, and beautiful view. This is a special place of rest and relaxation. Plus, we were gifted with being able to see the Northern Lights while sitting at the fire pit. My pug was treated well. The other guests were friendly and welcoming. Only negative for me was that the bathroom was pretty small. That's all. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great place!
Desert Inn TucumcariCute neon lights out front. Room was really clean, and staff was very kind. The free breakfast is really nice, only asking for a tip. We used the grassy area for dogs' potty breaks at the McDonalds across the street. Otherwise, there is a small area by the inn's parking lot and play ground for pets. Also, just a short drive to Historic Route 66 to see the attractions there.

Great stay
Candlewood Suites Springfield North an IHG HotelThis is a great place. Nice large room with full kitchen area with all amenities. Amazingly nice. It is like staying in a really nice condo. Maid service isn't daily, but you can always get fresh towels, etc., at the check-in area. A huge pet area surrounds the Suites as the parking lot is surrounded by grassy fields. I loved it! The staff is really nice and friendly, and kind to both my pug and I. I would gladly stay there again!

Best Budget Inn
Best Budget InnThis is a real find. Yes, it is budget, but it's a nice place. The room was beautifully decorated, in bright Route 66 style! Really nice and comfortable. The nicest thing is that we arrived when really bad weather was anticipated. After dodging rain all day, one of the first things my hostess told me is that in the event of a tornado, they alert everyone by phone and we all go down to the basement. She assured me right away that we would be safe. I really appreciated that. The other really enjoyable feature here is that it is across the street from a small lake where people walk pets and fish. So beautiful. This is a real find and if you are a Route 66 traveler, this is the place to stay. Nice continental breakfast provided, and they were good to both me and my pug. I would stay again.

No good pet area
Motel 6 Kingman AZ - Route 66 WestThis is my go-to first night out of California stop. It's a good Motel 6 but some rooms are showing signs of aging. My biggest gripe is the lack of a grassy area for pets. Pets get rocky and stickery lots to relieve themselves on. Also, it doesn't feel very safe either when taking them out at night. That could be improved.

Catoosa Inn & SuitesHotel is beautiful. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is very friendly! I didn't have one negative encounter. My dog did very well there. Also, free breakfast offered every morning.

Accommodating
Days Inn by Wyndham ClintonNice big place. Hardly any people there. Nice grass area for pets. However, the gentleman who checked me in said that he didn't have my reservation! That was alarming as it was later at night when I arrived. He gave me a room, honored the price on my confirming email, and was very kind and gracious.

Motel 6 Flagstaff AZ - ButlerRoom was clean and smelled clean. Grassy area for pets surrounding pool area. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again, if I’m ever back this way.

Days Inn by Wyndham Fort CollinsGreat room, great location, great service! Everything was nice and clean. The pet area is large but is made of gravel/rocks, which is okay except if your dog has never gone potty on rocks! She adapted. If I’m ever in this area again, we will definitely stay here!

Very Expensive
Motel 6 Pismo Beach CAI used to stay here a lot years ago. I was was disappointed in my room. It was dirty, the bathroom was a former handicap shower but had no handles on the wall, nor bench to sit on, or anything/barrier on the floor to keep the shower water from spilling out into the bathroom sink area. Not safe. The furnace was non-existent. I'm sorry, I want it to be good for memories' sake, but I was disappointed. I paid a lot of money for a basically dirty room. It's not like I could say, well, you get what you paid for, because I paid A LOT. I expected more for what I was being charged.

Great Location
Solvang Inn & CottagesWe walked everywhere, even to the Mission. Plenty of parks along the way for my pug. Restaurants nearby as well. I love staying here. The staff is friendly, and the coupon for the free breakfast at Olsen's across the street is a bonus!

No Pet Area
Super 8 by Wyndham St George UTThe Motel 6 was great! Clean room, very clean room. The only thing lacking was a pet area. We couldn't use the grass around the hotel, but had to cross a busy street to get to a lawn there. There were wild deer on the lawn once, so unfortunately didn't cross the street.

Wonderful Room
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Fort CollinsRoom was clean, staff friendly. We had the best sleep during the trip there! The only weak area was pet area was almost non-existent. Otherwise, the place was perfect.
