Disappointing
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham RenoI booked a King Select room with micro and fridge. When I arrived for checked I was rudely advised by La Quinta staff that there were non available and I would have to take a room with two double beds. No micro, no fridge.
I kindly asked why my reservation was not honored. And La Quinta staff gave a very abrupt excuse about how these requests are not guaranteed when booked thru third party sites.
I basically had to beg for a fridge and one was dumped in my room.
The room itself was basic.
The grounds are not good for dogs at all. The area is very congested and there is relatively no area to exercise your dog unless you own a toy breed.
My dogs and I went walking through the neighborhoods which seemed safe so they could stretch their legs. Parking is very tight and there appears to be a lot of truckers in and out of the area, which is not a bad thing but there are lots of large trucks, and they get rolling at all hours. Which means a lot of noise.
The grounds of the hotel were not very appealing, in fact quite dirty.
I probably will find another place to stay when I visit Reno again.
