Best Park Around

Minneola Dog Park

we make the 16 mile trip often for our big girl. there are only 2 pens but they have artificial turf so they can hose it down every evening. it is by far the cleanest park I’ve ever been to.
we take her to other parks so she can get dirty and dig an occasional hole, but I think this is by far the healthiest way to get out and enjoy some fresh air. it gets busy at certain times but we are lucky we can come when it isn’t the busy time.
if there was an award for dog parks, I would certainly nominate this one!

Great Stopover

Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Walterboro

The hotel was very clean. Rooms are very compact, but very efficient. I liked the concept of the window seat; small dogs would love that. Nice large area to walk the dog. We will definitely stay again.

Great Dog Park!

Riviera Oaks Dog Park

after being cooped up in a small hotel room for two days in one of the least pet friendly areas, Daytona Beach, we found this little gem for our big chocolate lab to stretch and relax. it is a beautiful, shaded area with seating. it is rustic and your dog could get dirty. our girl just walked and sniffed and enjoyed her freedom. we will definitely remember this place!

Nice Overnight stay

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Savannah Airport - Pooler

We stopped for the night on the way home to Florida from Virginia. It was very easy access from I95 with several eating places close by. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would have given it a five if there had been a better place to walk the dog. There were mulch filled areas, but very little grass and no dog waste or trash bins on the side where we stayed. The only grass was beside the road with a big sign in a fenced in yard saying
To keep your dog on hotel property and “not on mine”. I can understand their frustration. I think hotel management should add some sod.
Aside from that, the hotel was nice and we will stay there again if we need something in the area.
