Great new hotel
Ayres Hotel Vista CarlsbadWe loved our stay at Ayres Hotel. We stayed here for three nights with our two pups while packing up our home prior to our move to Tennessee. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. I love that the sink is separate from the shower and toilet. There is a huge soaking tub/shower combination. The water pressure was a bit weak but that is my only complaint. The complimentary breakfast includes made-to-order omelettes (which I highly recommend versus the scrambled eggs), bacon, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bagels, muffins, waffles. There is a water station and complimentary Keurig coffee maker in the lobby. The hotel is fairly new and the area is very safe. I would definitely stay here again.
Good overnight stay
La Quinta by Wyndham Dallas Love FieldWe pulled in late (10:00pm) after driving 700 miles and getting stuck in some unexpected traffic. The front desk upgraded us to a junior suite. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint is the walls are a bit thin and I had some very inconsiderate neighbors. They were in at least 3 different rooms, one of which was directly across from us. They were going from room to room, knocking on each other’s doors and then letting the doors slam. Over and over again. This, of course, caused my little dog to become very concerned and start barking. They finally stopped around midnight. I’m not a prude at all but we were super tired and just wanted to sleep. The breakfast was decent. There is a small grassy area just outside the front door for your fur babies. The hotel should install poop bags and a small trash can because no one picks up their dog poop. Overall, the area felt very safe and I would definitely stay here again.
