My favorite ice cream!!
Rota Spring Ice CreamThis is by far the best ice cream I’ve had. the line can get lengthy, but that’s what happens when you have a good product, definitely worth the wait. They have a bunch of dog friendly picnic tables, as well as farm animals for kids to enjoy. There is also a small farm shop attached to the ice cream counters, they have fresh honey, produce, meat, and all other goodies. This is must if your in the area!
Best spot!
The Hare & the HoundI love taking my dog here for lunch, the staff is very welcoming and always excited to see my pup. The food is exceptional, my favorite thus far is the classic hounds dish. the patio is really nice, with built in picnic tables, and a stone wall that separates you from the street.
Cute little cafe
Victoria Station CafeThis is a great spot, and on the same street as our favorite lunch spot (The Hare and the Hound). I was able to bring my dog right inside and everyone was happy to see her. she picked out a house made dog cookie, and I had a lobster tail pastry. speaking for myself the pastry was delicious, and I think it’s safe to say she enjoyed her cookie as well.
Large selection
Coco's Tropical IceI used to work here and the patio is dog friendly. They serve a large selection of Italian ice flavors, as well as flavored soft serve, and regular ice cream. I recommend getting a gelati, which is your choice of ice flavor layered with your choice of soft serve ice cream flavor
Best hotel of our trip!
Kimpton Overland Hotel - Atlanta Airport an IHG HotelThe room was amazing, beds were so comfy, and that shower was fantastic!! There wasn’t really a designated pet relief area, it was just grassy areas in the parking lot. I will definitely stay here again!
We’ll definitely be back!
Family Business Beer Co.I traveled from Massachusetts to Texas specifically to visit this place, and it was well worth it! I’m not a beer person but I found a couple that I enjoyed, and the pizza was pretty good. They were very welcoming to my dog. They have a large picnic area, but also have tables outside that are partially enclosed. Right now with COVID they don’t have the whole facility open, so I was bummed I couldn’t get the full effect, but I’ll definitely be back!
Overall good experience
Days Inn by Wyndham LexingtonThe location is great, it’s right off the highway but not noisy. the room was clean with laminate flooring, and was very spacious! It cost 79$ before the pet fee, and then 100$ deposit is needed. Then when you checkout someone checks your room before you get your deposit back, so keep that in mind if you need to check out on a deadline. There was plenty of grassy area for my dog and decent parking.
Great Room
Best Western Thunderbird MotelWe were perfectly content with our stay here. the room was clean, and they had an elevator which was convenient. The only downside to this hotel was where we were located, the pet area was virtually non existent. I can’t speak to what the back of the hotel looked like, we stayed on the front of the building. Everything else was great.
Great for the price!
Motel 6 Winnie TXThis is a great hotel if you just need a place to sleep. the room was clean and right off the highway. it had a nice large area for pet relief, that supplied waste bags.
Great Food!
The Patio at the Pit RoomI went here on a Wednesday night and they were full at 8 o’clock at night, I was able to get one of the last tables available. my dog was welcomed onto the patio, and we saw quite a few other dogs while we were there. The food was really good, it was served cafeteria style. however everything was a little bit spicy, and there were a few things that were really spicy. when it got darker, there were canopy lights that were really pretty.
Not the best
Quality Inn Mt PleasantThis hotel will do in a pinch, but if you have the option to go somewhere else, I’d suggest doing so. The people were nice, but the hotel was very run down, and not the cleanest. The room was very small and I’d rather not relive my shower experience. The location was also a little tricky to find because their sign was out.
Nice stay
Clarion Pointe Harrisonburgthe hotel was nice, and clean. it had a microwave, fridge, and a hair dryer. I really liked the waste area for the dogs, it was a large area of grass, and they provided poop bags and disposal. Other than check in we had a very nice stay, and it is in a great location with multiple plazas right down the street!
