Service great, room not so much

Hampton Inn Cincinnati Eastgate

Before anything else, the service was awesome. We forgot our toothbrushes and they kindly provided them at no cost/hassle. Check in was busy but she was great. The less awesome part was revealed when I dropped something and had to go looking for it. Under the couch was filthy. Cat toys, a few dollars of change, and at least of few months of dust. Who cares, it’s under the couch? My concern if that isn’t getting a quick sweep, what is the quality of cleaning/sanitizing on the rest of the room? The part that made us decide to check out an hour after getting there thought was the alarming amount of mildew on the floor and wall under the headboard. As soon as I ducked down to look for my charger block, I could smell it. The front desk employee was great about it when we told her we thought it best to leave but she was unable to refund us because we booked it here. We called and BringFido took care of it easily. If you get room 104, I’d recommend checking for mildew.
