Trashy property
Baymont by Wyndham Georgetown/Near Georgetown MarinaNo place to walk your dog. Broken glass all over parking lot, and only a teensy amount of grass. The property was trashy.
Nice facility. Decent space to walk dog.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Middletown - Goshen an IHG HotelVery clean, newly renovated facility. Accommodating staff. The only problem was that the hotel fire alarm went off at 3am. I was given a room on the fourth floor, and have a 22-month standard poodle and was bringing home an 8-week old standard puppy. I had to haul the baby down four flights of stairs in her carrying case, while my older dog was panicked by the very loud siren and flashing strobe lights. Fortunately there was no fire! But it was a difficult, exhausting night. And I wretched my back carrying the baby down four flights in the case, while trying to hold on to my panicked older dog. We never received any explanation of the incident. Or apology.
Too much $ for too little quality
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mt Laurel - PhiladelphiaThis La Quinta is not well-kept. There is very little space to walk a dog. Both outdoor and indoor spaces are not very clean.
Good location, fresh, well-kept
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Univ Area Chapel HillVery nice accommodations. I’ll stay there again with my pup when back in the area.
Cheap Motel 6 on I-40
Motel 6 Burlington NCIt was clean enough. No amenities. Sort of depressing, but if you’re desperate and need a place to overnight in this area, good enough. It is what it is for the price point.
OK, but overpriced
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chattanooga - East Ridge$150 (including $20 pet fee) for a standard room on a Monday night at a La Quinta is just too much. It’s a nice enough hotel, but nothing special. Since taken over by Wyndham, I’ve found the chain is focused most on remodeling its lobbies. There’s another, better priced La Quinta in Chattanooga. Stay there. But if you must stay at this one, bring your own pillow as theirs are like sleeping on a bag of rubber rocks. Mattress very lumpy, too.
Nice place and staff
La Quinta by Wyndham TupeloAmple green space for dog. Clean and well-kept. Comfortable room and bed.
Needs new management
La Quinta by Wyndham Longview NorthThis La Quinta was remodeled recently, so looks impressive when entering. My king room was cavernous (not a good way, but cold way), but nice enough. Bed very comfortable. So it all looked fine, but that’s where it ended. The shower was lukewarm, the heating unit in my room didn’t work properly, and (worse!) there was no coffee. Oh, there were a couple of decaf packets for the in-room coffee maker, but no real coffee. I went down to the front desk to ask for some, but was told they’d decided not to offer regular coffee any longer. Then she said they hadn’t gotten their order. Which was it? When I asked if they had coffee in the breakfast area, she said not after 9am, and pointed out it was almost 9:30. She was not very nice about any of this. This hotel needs a change of management!
Very good for the price point
Best Western Decatur InnRoom very clean and comfortable. Be sure to ask for a back property room, as it is literally right on a very busy highway. The owner was very contentious in so far as taking care of the property, but strange about my using a third party booking system. She demanded to know how much I’d paid, the said she didn’t know if she could book me in until she’d spoken with BringFido. She told me I should call BringFido. Although it all worked out, it was a drag to spend half an hour at check in on this after I’d been driving all day and into the night.
Sparse
Roswell InnIf ALL you’re looking for is a clean room, then you’ll be fine. There was NOTHING beyond the minimal furniture, not even a bedside lamp. I found it cold and depressing, but it was only for a night so not a huge deal. Be sure to ask for a room far back on the property as it is right on a very busy street.
LOVED this motel! Arty, witty, groovy
Sierra InnVery cool, retro 70s feel. Secure parking area behind a privacy gate, with a very cool, large courtyard. Private outdoor sitting areas for each room. The secure enclosures - from the parking area to the courtyard to the private outdoor sitting area - is great for a dog and peace of mind. Loved the interior of my room. It even had a record player and cache of albums. I’d love to stay there again for two or three days. It can be a little noisy with traffic noise, so best to have earplugs. Joshua Tree is a fun little town.
Very nice, would stay there again
La Quinta by Wyndham Alexandria AirportStaff very nice. Clean, nicely appointed, comfortable room. My mattress was a little lumpy, but that was the only minus. Still had a good night’s sleep. Cracker Barrel right next door, so easy to order a decent meal to go and head up to your room. Plenty of room to walk your dog.
Very friendly, competent staff
Drury Inn & Suites Jackson - RidgelandNice hotel. $40 pet fee, very small frig. But everything else A-OK. I was up on the 7th floor which was not ideal, but OK.
