Decent stop for the night
Red Roof Inn Georgetown InOther than their no dogs allowed on the bed or any furniture policy and the fact that the room was quote damp, as if they had not used it in quite awhile, it was a decent spot to stop. No pet fee and the bed was comfortable.
Easy access
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rochester South Mayo ClinicTook care in placing us near a side door. Rooms were clean.
Great lunch spot
Skipper's Bar & Grill4 outdoor picnic tables to eat at with your pooch. Fresh food, friendly staff, and across from a waterfront park and a playground. Reasonable prices, fresh fish and typical burgers and pizza fare.
Clean and friendly reception
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Houghton MIClean, large rooms close to the side doors and a lovely grassy area set aside for dog walking.
Nice spot to stop
Staybridge Suites Akron-Stow-Cuyahoga Falls an IHG HotelRoom was dog friendly. $50 pet fee for 1 or up to 7 days, kind of a lot when it is just a quick overnight. But good location to head into the national park the next day. Panini's is just a short walk and has a nice outdoor dining area with umbrellas.
Decent and clean
Red Roof Inn SanteeNot many choices in Santee, and no pet fee was charged. Not a lot of areas to walk your dog, but ok for a quick overnight stay. Room was mediocre.
Clean and newer than most
Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Palm CoastNo pet fee charged. A nice clean and like new room. Easy and convenient location to stop overnight, near the on ramp but not so near as to have noise from it.
Microtel in Waltersboro
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham WalterboroThis hotel was lovely, nice and clean - BUT the hotel clerk was rude, and not a big fan of dogs. There also were no trash can at the side doors where they wanted you to take your dogs out, so many, rather than taking bags of poop back into the hotel, just dropped their bags of poop at the back door, that was disgusting, but the alternative was not great either. Later we noted that there was no trash can anywhere on the premises except at the front door and it was overflowing, that evening and the next morning, so we had no other choice but to take the bagged poop back to the room. Strange, but true. There was a Cracker Barrel across the street with great take out, so that was a plus to this location. I would encourage the hotel to invest in a few trash cans.
Great spot!
Pier 220 Seafood and GrillViews, live music, ice water brought to your dog's, reasonably priced burger pattie for your furry friends. A wonderful find! The food was quite good, service ok, but a very busy place so be prepared to wait a bit.
Recent stay at Best Western Yadkin Valley
Best Western Plus Yadkin Valley Inn & SuitesThe stay was fine, quiet rooms, easy access to green spaces. The rooms were not very updated, and had leaky faucets, and older less comfortable mattresses. Not at all comparable to many we stay in, BUT not a lot of choices in this area, so if I had to choose one, it would be this.
Aloft Richmond
Aloft Richmond West Short PumpEasy access to green areas and a fantastic restaurant with a few dog menu items to choose from, dog treats and fresh water. I would stay here just to go to the restaurant! Hotel was nicely appointed. No internet without paying extra, and staff not friendly.
