Lake Wapello State Park
Lake Wapello State Park is a dog-friendly destination in Drakesville, IA. Named in honor of the famous Native American Chief Wapello, this park is home to pretty wooded hillsides, shaded grassy picnic areas, and the centerpiece and namesake, Lake Wapello. Lots of recreational boat users and anglers love to visit the lake. If you prefer to stay on dry land, there's a seven mile lake shore trail and a nature trail on the north side of the park. Please be sure to leash and clean up after your pets.
