Great location, perfect for beginners
My pup Frankie (French Bull Jack) is 14 weeks old and had a great first hike here. He loved all the smells and momma loved that the paths are well kept.

Short trail loops for short walks
Most of the trail loops at Shady Hollow are fairly short (the loop to and from parking is just about a mile according to our fitbit) and well cared for (grass was cut through the fields and while the trails are unpaved they were relatively level). Scenery is fields and woodlands with a stream that connects to the lake across from the parking area which has a garbage can to dispose of pet waste. The trails are closed in November for hunting season, however, so plan accordingly.
