Took my Giant Schnauzer out for her very first hike and we could not have chosen a better trail! Yes the trail was thin, yes a large tree had fallen in the pathway, & and YES it was pouring the whole time!! Did any of that stop us??? NO!! We had the best time trudging through the mud & playing in the many water run offs/creeks! The waterfall was gorgeous, but seeing my girl running through the water was a much better view. I highly suggest making the drive over here with your furry friend! You won’t regret it. Be careful, you may miss the exit.

Once you find it, it’s a real nice hike. Follow the written directions on the trail’s website. When you think you’ve gone far enough, go a bit farther! You cross a foot bridge and the rocks later on closer to the falls. Be prepared for your dog to venture into the water—have towels ready back at the car for muddy paws/wet body.

This trail was a little hard to find at first. Have to turn your car at the 388 sign and go up a winding gravel road to get to the trailhead. Moderate hike with the dogs. Narrow path with a steep drop at some points. A few nice waterfalls on the way. The dogs enjoyed it and so did we!
