  Worth the Price

  I stayed in December 2023 with my dog based on reading prior reviews and researching options in the area. I also selected this hotel for the ability to eat at bar with dog (technically at a high top long table between the bar and lobby). I enjoyed eating inside with my dog and not leaving the hotel once checked in after a long day of travel. It was an expensive stay with the room rate and pet fees for one night, but it was a very nice room with comfortable bed. I slept through any train noise.

  It has modern decor and good size King deluxe room. The staff found us a corner room on top floor which was a great accommodation. I knew to expect a nice hotel and higher prices based on research, so I was not sticker shocked. Based on the limited competition, it appeared to be the best hotel that accepted large breeds. I would stay here again and recommend to others. I concur with all of the comments made in Audra’s review from September 2023 to manage your expectations given this is a small town and local staff, and you will enjoy your stay.

  Unexpected

  Very cute and trendy hotel in west Texas, it’s crazy to see something like this out here. The room fees are frankly way too high, but there’s no competition so if you want to stay in a nice place with your pups out here you have to pay the price. Be aware there are no ice buckets or machines or water. There is a mini fridge and bar for purchase in your room. They do have restaurant/bar on site. The staff are very casual and informal. If the front desk person is sitting chatting in the lobby with a friend, do not expect her to get up, however she will very pleasantly answer all questions when you approach her. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Just manage expectations and know you’re not in a populous.

  Very well appointed modern hotel

  A very nice place, the room was excellent, I didn’t visit the bar and restaurant though it had a rustic decor that looked inviting. (Not sure if dog was welcome there,). There is a dog park a few blocks away on the other side of the railroad. We also found a park a few blocks farther west with ballparks and lots of green grass.

  Bring your dog here!

  Eddie the Golden was immediately welcomed to Hotel St. George. And our room was so well designed for humans. Architect husband gave the room a 10+. We were able to sit at the community table with Eddie and watch the Super Bowl game. They gave him treats and a bowl of water and refilled it without asking. There's a dog park a block over by the post office too. Go here!!!

  Awesome Stay!

  Merle and I had a great stay at Hotel Saint George! They were very accommodating -- and I was even allowed to bring him down to the restaurant/bar area. Hotel was very clean and service was outstanding! Would definitely stay again!

  My dog was treated like a guest

  Quirky Marfa’s best hotel loves your dog. Not once was our lovely female pitbull given a nasty look by staff. Instead she was greeted with a bowl of water and compliments. Added bonus: great dog park is just one block away.
